Audi has reportedly announced plans to unveil the convertible version of the third-generation TT next month at the Paris Motor Show.
The TT Roadster is expected to look very close to the coupe version with the exception of the chopped off roof. Rather than employ a heavy folding hardtop, the TT Roadster will continue to use a multi-layer cloth soft top. Once the top is folded down, a neck warming feature will make it possible to drive with the top down in colder temps.

Under the hood the TT Roadster will be offered with the same engine lineup as the coupe that was unveiled earlier this year at the Geneva Motor Show. The base model will be powered by a 230-hp 2.0L, while the TTS will get a 310-hp version of the same 2.0L. In Europe the TT is available with a 184-hp 2.0L TDI diesel engine.

The third-generation TT will arrive in the U.S. sometime next year as a 2016 model.
