Tesla has its critics, but even with its production issues it looks like electric car buyers are still flocking to the brand. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has revealed that last week Tesla received over 5,000 new orders for the Model 3 and 2,000 orders for the Model S and Model X.
While Tesla is getting a fair share of Model 3 cancellations from those that placed a reservation early on, Tesla seems to be ramping up new interest, especially since Tesla recently opened the order books for the Model 3.
Elon Musk took to Twitter to reveal that Tesla is still getting a healthy number of reservations for the Model 3 following a claim that Model 3 cancellations are outpacing new reservations.
Dunno where this bs is coming from. Who knows about the future, but last week we had over 2000 S/X and 5000 Model 3 *new* net orders.

What’s worth noting here is that Elon Musk stated “net” orders, which likely means that the new orders are taking into account the cancellations.
