Subaru’s BRZ coupe is in very high demand, so much so that dealers have a hard time keeping them on Subaru lots. Subaru of America has confirmed that dealers will now get 2,000 extra BRZ coupes over the next four months. Currently Subaru only sends about 500 units a month of the Japan-built rear-wheel-drive coupe to the U.S.
“We are selling all the BRZs we can get,” said Subaru COO Tom Doll. “We have been sold out since the car was introduced.” Subaru of America initially only asked for 6,000 coupes annually. The BRZ went on sale in April and Subaru has sold 3,120 units through October.
