Subaru Kills the Legacy Wagon and Outback Sedan for 2008

For the next model year Subaru has decided to simplify its lineup, which means the end of the line for the slow selling Legacy Wagon and Outback Sedan. Going forward there will only be Legacy sedans and Outback wagons.

For the most part this new announcement makes sense. The Outback sedan never sold well and most of the large Subaru wagons on the road are the Outback versions, not the Legacy. These changes will make the choices easier for consumers and will also increase Subaru’s profits. The one downside is that if you want a sporty Subaru wagon in the future you will be out of luck, since they also decided to not make a wagon version of the Impreza for 08′.
