Earlier this week it was reported that Nissan is going to unveil the next-generation 2012 Nissan Versa at the New York Auto Show that takes place later this month. The JDM counterpart of the Nissan Versa, the Nissan Tiida was recently spotted in a parking lot in China.
The Nissan Tiida is virtually identical to the next-generation Nissan Versa that we will officially see later this month. The Tiida is also based on the same platform as the Sunny. The spy photos show a Tiida with a 1.6 liter direct injection gas engine, which is also used by the Juke. It’s doubtful that we will get that engine in the Versa.
