2012 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake to Debut in New York with 800 Horsepower

Shelby has announced plans to unveil its new Super Snake package for the 2012 Ford Shelby GT500 at the New York Auto Show.

The 2012 Ford Shelby GT500 with the Super Snake package puts out a whopping 800 horsepower from its supercharged 5.4L V8.

“With more horsepower, the 2012 Shelby GT500 Super Snake is a strong performer both on the road and the track,” noted Gary Patterson, vice president of operations at Shelby American. “This Super Snake will deliver the driving experience that enthusiasts expect from the Shelby brand.”

The Super Snake package also includes a new sport suspension, Borla exhaust system, Alcoa 20-inch wheels and Baer six-piston brakes.

Pricing has yet to be announced, but it will be under $100,000.
