Scion Announces 2012 tC Pricing and Introduces the tC RS 7.0

Scion has announced the changes to the 2012 tC and the introduction of the first release series for the second-generation tC, the 2012 tC Release Series 7.0 (tC RS 7.0).

The 2012 tC Release Series 7.0 comes exclusively in High Voltage yellow exterior contrasting black side view mirrors and black 18-inch alloy wheels. The tC RS 7.0 also gets a TRD body kit that includes front and rear lower valences and side skirts. The front bumper incorporates a honeycomb lower grille that is unique to this Release Series.

The High Yellow exterior color is also featured in the interior with the tC’s black and 2012_Scion_tC_RS_7.0_5.jpgyellow seat fabric and leather wrapped steering wheel with yellow stitching. The tC RS 7.0 also gets a Smart Key system, which includes a red TRD push-button start and doors that unlock with the touch of the door handle.

Scion is only going to produce 2,200 units of the tC RS 7.0 with a starting price at $20,905 for the manual and $21,905 for the model equipped with the automatic transmission.

Scion has also made some additions to the standard 2012 tC with an all-new standard 300-watt Pioneer audio sustem and standard Bluetooth. There is also an optional 340-watt Pioneer audio system with a 5.8-inch LCD touch-screen display.

The 2012 tC equipped with a six-speed manual transmission is $18,575, and $19,575 when equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission.
