Rolls-Royce is going to officially reveal the new Ghost next week on September 1, but today we have yet another teaser. This time Rolls-Royce is showing off the Ghost’s new “illuminated fascia” which is on the instrument panel.

The “illuminated fascia” features the Ghost name with more than 850 star lights surrounding it. It’s located on the passenger side of the dashboard, the constellation and Ghost name are completely invisible when the car is not in operation. Rolls-Royce says that it took over two years and more than 10,000 hours to create it.

The illumination is possible thanks to 152 LEDs mounted above and beneath the fascia. To ensure that the Ghost graphic is lit evenly, a 2 millimeter-thick light guide is used with more than 90,000 laser-etched dots across the surface.

Rolls-Royce has already revealed that the 2021 Ghost will feature a new all-wheel steering system and a super quiet interior.

Stay tuned.
