Photos of the revised 2009 Mazda MX-5 have leaked onto the web thanks to km77. The photos clearly show the changes that Mazda has done to both the softop and hardtop versions of the MX-5.

The new MX-5 gets a new front end that draws cues from the RX-8 in addition to revised taillights. The1.8L and 2.0L engine choices are expected to remain the same although the 2.0L engine has been revised with lower friction parts and a new air intake that provides a more aggressive sound. The front suspension has also been modified to provide more steering feedback and traction control is now standard.

Inside the seat heaters have been revised to heat up faster with five different settings. There is also a new layer of sound insulation to keep the interior even quieter on both the soft and hardtop models. Two new colors, Aluminum Metallic and Metropolitan Gray Mica are also part of the changes.
