Toyota has announced the pricing for the refreshed 2012 Toyota Tacoma. The base Tacoma starts at $16,875 for the regular cab 4×2 model with a 2.7L four-cylinder and five-speed manual transmission. The top of the line Tacoma Double Cab 4×4 long bed equipped with a 4.0L V6 and five speed automatic transmission starts at $27,835.
As previously reported, the 2012 Toyota Tacoma gets a new front fascia with a new hood, grille, headlights, bumper and fog lights. Inside the 2012 Tacoma gets a new center instrument panel design with a revised gauge cluster, as well as a new steering wheel. The center stack also gets new controls for the air conditioning and heating systems.
The four-cylinder and V6 engines carry over unchanged. The 2.7L puts out 159 horsepower and 180 lb-ft. of torque, while the 4.0L V6 packs 236 horsepower and 266 lb-ft. of torque.
The Tacoma will also be one of the first Toyotas to offer the new Entune multi-media system. The Toyota Entune system is a collection of popular mobile applications (like Pandora) and data services, with three years of complimentary access.
The 2012 Toyota Tacoma will begin arriving in dealerships this month.
