The Lexus ES is the best-selling sedan in the Lexus lineup and for the 2016 model year, it should continue to hold that title thanks to a refreshed exterior, new engine options and an updated interior.
The 2016 ES gets an updated face that includes the latest version of Lexus’s spindle grille. The updated face also gets new headlights with LED projector technology and “L”-shaped arrowhead Daytime Running Lights (DRL) extend outside the headlight element for a distinctive look that links it with other Lexus models. The fog lights have also been redesigned and are now located on the outer lower corners of the front fascia. The rear gets updated taillights, a e-stylized chrome license plate garnish and newly sculpted chrome-tipped rectangular exhaust ports. Lastly the 2016 ES gets new 17-inch wheels and four new exterior colors: Amber, Nightfall Mica, Caviar, and Eminent White Pearl.

Other updates include a new steering wheel, a larger 4.2-inch TFT display and updates to its Remote Touch Interface (RTI) control.
Buyers in China, Russia and Taiwan will now be able to select a new 2.0L direct-injection four-cylinder engine, but in the U.S. the ES will continue to only be offered with a 3.5-liter V-6 engine and a gasoline-electric hybrid powertrain.
