Land Rover is getting ready to introduce its first electric vehicle, the Range Rover Electric. It will be based on the flagship Range Rover and an 800-volt architecture will allow for fast charging at DC fast chargers. Land Rover has announced today that it is opening the waitlist for the Range Rover Electric before it starts taking official orders for the new EV.

Range Rover Electric

Land Rover has released a few teaser photos of the new Range Rover Electric, which we can see looks pretty identical to the standard Range Rover. Land Rover anticipates that the Range Rover Electric will have more patents than any other Range Rover before it. It’s currently being tested in extreme temperatures, road conditions and terrain. It will also be able to wade through up to 33.4 inches of water.

The Range Rover Electric will be built on the flexible Modular Longitudinal Architecture in Solihull, United Kingdom. You can join the waitlist here.
