FCA has released the details of Ram’s five year plan that not only includes a production version of the Rebel TRX concept, but also two other new trucks. In the product plan that details what trucks Ram will offer between now and 2022, we see that a new midsize truck and a new heavy duty truck are in the works.

The heavy duty model isn’t the big news here. Instead we’re more interested in the new midsize pickup that will rival models, like the Chevy Colorado and new Ford Ranger. FCA hasn’t released any details about the new Ram midsize truck other than the fact that it will arrive by 2022.

Ram brand head Mike Manley did reveal to Automotive News that the new midsize truck will arrive soon, but he would not confirm if it will revive the Dakota name.
