Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has made lots of announcements today about the future of its model lineup and one model we’ve been waiting to hear about is a production version of the Ram Rebel TRX concept. FCA has announced that it will build the Ford F-150 Raptor rival and that it will arrive by 2022.

Ram Rebel TRX Concept

As part of the company’s five year plan, CEO Sergio Marchionne revealed that the Ram Rebel TRX will focus on both off-road and on-road performance, but he stopped short of revealing any other juicy details. We got a preview of the Ram Rebel TRX back in 2016 with the concept that debuted Texas State Fair.

The Ram Rebel TRX concept was powered by a slightly detuned verison of the Hellcat 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that’s offered in the Dodge Challenger and Charger models. In the Rebel TRX concept the V8 only generated 575 horsepower, but according to new reports, the production version will arrive with the same 707 horsepower as the Dodge models. With that much power, the Rebel TRX will definitely give the 450-hp F-150 Raptor a run for its money.

Other upgrades will likely include more aggressive front and rear fascias, an upgraded off-road ready suspension, unique wheels and a bunch of other off-road gear.
