It’s almost time to say goodbye to the Polestar 1, but before we do, Polestar has unveiled the 2021 Polestar 1 Special Edition at the 2021 Auto Shanghai expo.
We knew this day would come, since when the Polestar 1 debuted, Polestar only said it would build 500 cars a year over a three year period. It takes a quite a bit of work to build the Polestar 1, since part of its assembly involves bonding a carbon-fiber body to a steel chassis.
The special edition is painted in a gold matte paint, with matching Akebono brake calipers and accent stitching inside.
Polestar only plans to build 25 of the Polestar 1 Special Edition coupes. It’s now known how many will be available in the US.
