Polestar has announced that it will add the latest tech from Google to its vehicles. The Polestar 3 will be the first to get Google’s new HD map, while remote actions will roll out on the Polestar 2.

Polestar says that the Polestar 3 will be the first car to Google’s new HD map. The map that provides detailed and up-to-date road information. With the HD map, Polestar will be able to combine its vehicle sensor technology and Google’s precise lane-level and localization data to power driver assistance features like Pilot Assist and future autonomous driving functionality.

Polestar 2 owners will now be able to control their car remotely using a compatible Google Assistant-enabled device, with the introduction of remote actions. The actions include the ability to check vehicle status and control certain functions like starting climate preconditioning, checking battery status and unlocking doors.
