Nissan's 2016 GT-R glows in gold

Nissan has unveiled the 2016 GT-R, which sees the introduction of the 45th Anniversary Gold Edition GT-R. Based on the GT-R Premium model, the 45th Anniversary Gold Edition GT-R commemorates the GT-R’s long heritage of world-class high performance.

Nissan has unveiled the 2016 GT-R, which sees the introduction of the 45th Anniversary Gold Edition GT-R. Based on the GT-R Premium model, the 45th Anniversary Gold Edition GT-R commemorates the GT-R’s long heritage of world-class high performance.
Featuring special gold paint called “Silica Brass” from the 2001 GT-R, the limited edition model also includes a gold-tone VIN plate inside the engine compartment and a commemorative plaque on the interior center console. Fewer than 30 of these special GT-Rs are slated for the US market at an MSRP of $102,770.

Other updates for th 2016 model year includes a bit more power for the Premium and Black Edition GT-R, which are now rated at 550 horsepower, up 5 from last year. The power rating for the exclusive NISMO remains unchanged at 600 horsepower. The best news is that after numerous price increases over the recent years, the 2016 models will remain unchanged. That means the 2016 Nissan GT-R Premium starts at $103,365 including destination, the Black Edition retails at $113,105, and the range-topping GT-R NISMO is priced at $151,585.
