Over the past few months we’ve heard lots of reports about the next Nissan Z with the latest reports claiming that it will be dubbed the 400Z and be powered by a twin-turbocharged V6. Now we are hearing how much the 2021 Nissan 400Z will cost.

According to an unnamed source that spoke with allcarnews on Instagram, the 2021 Nissan 400Z will start under $40,000. That means that the new Z will come in below the six-cylinder powered Toyota GR Supra, which currently starts at $49,990.

The Nissan 400Z is going to also reportedly be based on an updated version of the Nissan’s FM platform, which is the basis for the 370Z, Infiniti Q50 and Q60. It will also be powered by the same 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 as the Infiniti Q60, which means the new Z will have 400 horsepower.

What will the 2021 Nissan 400Z look like? Rumors claim that the 400Z will take inspiration from the 240Z and 300ZX.

There’s also another report that a Nissan 480Z may also be in the works with 480 horsepower on tap.

Stay tuned.
