Nissan is going to make Automatic Emergency Braking standard on most of its 2018 vehicles, including the Rogue/Rogue Sport, Altima, Murano, Leaf, Pathfinder, Maxima and Sentra. Nissan estimates that the in 2018 it will sell at least 1 million vehicles with the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) technology.

According to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, one-third of all police-reported crashes involve a rear-end collision and systems such as AEB can help reduce injury insurance claims by as much as 35 percent.
