The next-generation Mini Cooper is expected to get a big design change according to BMW Group design boss Adrian van Hooydonk who stated that the next Mini will be a “”bigger design leap than the last one.”

Adrian van Hooydonk told Autocar that Andres Warming, Mini’s new design boss, will start the design of the third-generation Mini from a clean sheet of paper. although “we have to balance that against the fact that it is the brand’s core model, like the 3, 5 and 7-series rolled into one.”

According to insiders, Mini is currently working on a new interior design theme that will get rid of the center mounted speedometer.
