There have been lots of reports lately about the next-generation Nissan Z. Now that Toyota is bringing back the Supra, it’s giving Nissan a reason to focus on the next Nissan Z and now it’s being reported that the next-generation Nissan Z will debut by the end of 2019.

According to Autocar, the next-generation Nissan Z has been given the green light and it will share its rear-wheel drive platform with the Infiniti Q60. This counters a story just a few days ago that said that Nissan was working with Mercedes-Benz for the next Z. Either way, both reports claim that the Z will share its turbocharged 3.0L engine with the Infiniti Q60, which means the next one could be called the 400Z.

The report also claims that the Nismo version of the new Z-car will send its power to all four wheels and could have around 475 horsepower under its hood, thanks to a modified version of the same turbocharged 3.0L V6. A new Z Roadster is also in the works, but it likely won’t arrive until around 2021, if the latest report is accurate.

Lastly the report claims that the new Nissan Z will debut at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show, but a concept version is expected before that.
