It’s being reported that the next-generation Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid will have a longer electric driving range of 30-35 miles.
One of the biggest criticisms of the current Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid is the fact that it only has an all-electric driving range of 11 miles, which is much lower than the 38 miles that the current Chevy Volt can travel. Thankfully it’s being reported that the next-generation Prius Plug-in Hybrid will have a longer range of 30-35 miles.
The next-generation Prius is expected to debut later this year as a 2016 model, but the plug-in hybrid is still about a year away. When it does arrive it still won’t be able to beat the new Chevy Volt with its 50 mile electric range, but at least a driving range around 30 miles is an improvement.
