Next-Gen Nissan GT-R will Get a Hybrid Powertrain

Nissan’s sales and marketing boss Andy Palmer has confirmed that the next-generation Nissan GT-R will use an electric motor to boost performance and lower the GT-R’s emissions.

The current GT-R has been around since 2007 and is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8L V6 with 542 horsepower. The next GT-R is expected to arrive sometime around 2015.
