According to sources inside General Motors, the next generation C7 Corvette is going to be powered by GM’s next-gen small-block V8. GM has announced plans to invest $890 million to develop and produce the new V8.
GM has stated that the new small-block V8s will feature aluminum blocks and heads and direct-injection. Sources are claiming that the engine in the Corvette will be a 5.5L with an output around 440 horsepower.
