GM has released this preview photo of the upcoming 2015 Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon midsize pickups, which will go into production next year. GM hasn’t confirmed what will power the pickups in the US, but a new report is showing that they could be offered with a diesel engine.
Automotive News is reporting that the pickups could be offered with either a 2.5 or 2.8L four-cylinder engine. In the Australian Holden Colorado the 2.5L packs 150-hp and 258 lb-ft. and the 2.8L generates 179-hp and 347 lb-ft. of torque.

If the rumors are true, the diesel-powered pickups could arrive by the end of 2015.
