Audi recently announced some big changes to its lineup, which will see the introduction of more SUVs, but at the same time the TT is now dead. During its Annual General Meeting, Audi also hinted at what could be coming in the near future, like a fully electric A8.

2019 Audi A8

“The next generation of the Audi A8 might well be all-electric. That has not been decided yet, but I can well imagine it,” stated Bram Schot, Audi AG Chairman of the Board of Management. “We are thinking about revolutionizing the top-end class with a completely new concept for the A8.”

While Audi may be starting the conversation about the next-generation A8, it likely won’t happen for a while, since the current A8 debuted in 2018. Audi isn’t just stopping with the electric A8, since there’s a chance that the R8 may also be replaced by an electric supercar. Audi also confirmed that the TT will also be replaced by a new electric vehicle.

Next year Audi will release five electric vehicles and by 2025 there will be at least 20 in its lineup.
