At the Sao Paulo Motor Show a top Honda exec confirmed to Auto Express that the next NSX will debut in Detroit. The inside source also confirmed that the production version is basically identical to the concept version. The new NSX will be powered by Acura’s new Sport Hybrid SH-AWD hybrid system. In the NSX the system pairs a mid-mounted 3.5L V6 with two electric motors. The V6 sends its power to the rear wheels, while the two electric motors power the front.
