Yesterday rumors surfaced that Ford was thinking about selling Volvo and that BMW was interested. Apparently the rumors are false according to a Ford spokesperson.
“Ford Motor Company is not in discussions with BMW or any other company regarding an interest in the Volvo Car Corporation.”
Who knows if the rumors are true or not, but Ford could make a significant amount of money if they did sell Volvo. It has been estimated that Ford could get as much as $8 billion from the sell of Volvo. Only time will tell if Ford can stick it out and not sell any more of its brands.
