It’s being reported that Cadillac previewed the upcoming Cadillac ATS coupe and new Escalade SUV to dealers last week. Although the media has yet to see either model, we do have a few more details about what we can expect from the ATS coupe.
Rather than go the route of the more extreme CTS coupe, which shares very little with the sedan version, the ATS coupe will look more like a two-door version of the ATS sedan. This means the overall styling of the coupe will remain pretty close to that of the sedan, minus the two rear doors.
Cadillac did not provide a timeline of when the 2015 ATS coupe will arrive, but sources told GM Inside News that it should arrive by mid-2014. It’s expected that the ATS coupe will only be offered with the higher performance powertrains from the ATS sedan, meaning that it will only be offered with the turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder and the 3.6L V6 engines. A high-perfomance V-Series model is also expected at a later date.
