MINI has announced that it will unveil the new MINI Clubman concept at the Geneva Motor Show next week. The Clubman concept is a near-production concept, which previews the new bigger 2015 Clubman that now features six doors.
Even though the Clubman concept is being labeled as a concept, it’s very close to the 2015 Clubman and will be the largest MINI available. Compared to the current Clubman, which only has one rear door on the passenger side, the new Clubman is going to have two sets of doors on each side, plus the two rear doors, giving it a total six doors. The MINI Clubman is ten inches longer and just over six inches wider than the current Clubman.
“With the MINI Clubman Concept we are presenting a car with space, flair and style in a segment where the focus is mainly on function and utility. With clever ideas, emotional design and a cool blend of colors and materials, it offers an overall experience which remains unique in this segment to date,” Head of MINI Design Anders Warming stated.
Inside the Clubman concept’s interior does look a lot more like a concept with a much cleaner dash than is currently offered in the existing range. Just like the exterior, the new Clubman’s interior is now larger and can comfortably fit up to five passengers.
MINI hasn’t announced when the production version of the new 2015 Clubman will debut, but it should happen before the end of the year.
