MINI has unveiled the John Cooper Works concept, which is a preview of the production version that is expected sometime in 2014.
Last month MINI took the wraps off the all-new third generation MINI Cooper at the LA Auto Show, but one version was missing, the John Cooper Works version. Well MINI has announced the John Cooper Works concept, which is going to debut at the Detroit Auto Show next month and is basically a preview of the production model.
The MINI John Cooper Works concept is based on the all-new third generation Cooper, but gets its own style with exclusive body paintwork in Bright Highways Grey, red color accents, bespoke aerodynamic features and 18-inch John Cooper Works alloy wheels.
Mini has released several photos of the John Cooper Works concept, but has not released any details to what lies under the hood. It’s expected that it will be powered by a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder with around 217 horsepower.
