Both models have sold in limited volumes, which is likely because they were both deemed too small compared to the other models in MINI’s lineup. According to McKenna the decision to discontinue both the Coupe and Roadster models is part of a larger “superhero strategy.” Basically the plan is to focus on higher volume models rather than niche models.
