Mercedes-Benz is hard at work on the next-generation S-Class. While hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions are already planned, there is a possibility that an all-electric S-Class could also be produced.
Mercedes’ technical boss, Thomas Weber stated, “”At the moment, we are looking at customer demand.”
The S-Class will also continue to be powered by V6 and V8 engines as well as a 4-cylinder diesel engine. The styling of the next-generation S-Class is said to borrow some elements from the F800 Style concept that was unveiled in Geneva last year. The next S-Class is due in 2013.
