We’re less than two weeks away from the official debut of the all-new 2019 Mercedes-Benz G-Class, but the first photos of the new SUV have already leaked out. The good news is that, as expected the 2019 G-Class will retain its iconic boxy shape.
Although the much anticipated W464 G-Class will keep the shape that’s had for nearly 40 years, everything under the skin is new. We can see from these grainy leaked photos that the evolutionary redesign looks almost identical to the old G-Class. While the outside may look the same, Mercedes-Benz has upgraded everything that you don’t see, like its new independent double wishbone suspension, nine-speed automatic transmission and a 360-degree camera system.
New engines will also be part of the mix, but we’ll likely have to wait until the 2019 G-Class debuts on January 15.
