Mercedes-Benz is going to unveil the awesome SL65 AMG Black Series at the Paris Motor Show this fall, but in the mean time here is the first photo of the SLR replacement.

The Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG is powered by a 661 horsepower (738 lb-ft. of torque) twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 and will hit 0-60 mph in less than 3.9 seconds. The engine is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission with AMG’s Speedshift software. Mercedes describes the Black Series as a technology showcase so most of the technology on this car will eventually make its way down to the other AMG models. This car may also influence the upcoming SLC, Mercedes new gullwing coupe and convertible that will be released in 2011.

Carbon fiber is used in the hood, fenders, roof and trunk, which helps the Black Series come in at 550 lbs less than the SL65 AMG.

Sadly only 200 of these cars will be coming to the US next year, but at $320,000 most people won’t be able to afford it anyways.
