It’s being reported that Mercedes-Benz is looking at adding an Audi TT rival to its lineup. The plan is in the early stages, but Autobild is reporting that the TT rival could be based on the next-generation A-Class.
The new coupe will be based on the same front-wheel-drive platform as the A-Class, B-Class, CLA-Class and GLA-Class models, but it could also borrow some design cues from the new GT. If the report is true, Mercedes-Benz will likely preview the new coupe as a concept during 2017 or 2018, with the production version arriving sometime in 2019. A convertible version is also expected to arrive about a year later.
