According to the latest reports Mercedes is working on a high-performance sedan that would fit in the lineup above the CLS and go head to head with the Bentley Continental GT.
The new four-door sedan is being described as an “über-CLS” and could have an even more dramatic shape than the coupe-like CLS. Growing demand for ultra-expensive, high-performance models in Europe and the Middle East is convincing Mercedes that there could be demand for a new high-end model. The high-performance four-door coupe would also rival the Porsche Panamera and feature AMG engines and chassis tuning.
There is also a possibility that a Maybach spinoff could be produced.
