Mazda has announced the updates to the 2022 MX-5 Miata, which is scheduled to arrive this winter. The MX-5 Miata is still powered by the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 181 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque, but it does get an upgrade to make it even more fun to drive.

The 2022 MX-5 Miata now has a new system called Kinematic Posture Control, which is designed to improve its performance. During high-g cornering, the system applies a slight brake to the inner rear wheel, to pull down the corner, limit body roll and improve the steering response. The system can also apply stronger braking when accelerating out of a corner.

The MX-5 Miata is comes standard with a six-speed manual on the Sport and Club versions. Now if you want the six-speed automatic transmission, you can only get it on the top spec Grand Touring model. There’s also a new Platinum Quartz Metallic paint option and Terracotta Nappa leather seats.

The pricing for the 2022 Mazda MX-5 Miata starts at $28,315.
