Mazda has introduced the Black limited edition versions of the MX-5 and Mazda2 for the UK market. What’s interesting is that the two limited edition models aren’t actually “black.”

The Black limited edition models are inspired by the MX-5 GT race car. The MX-5 Sport Black gets a black retractable hard-top, while the rest of the car can be selected in Spirited Green metallic, Crystal White Pearlescent and Velocity Red mica. The MX-5 Sport rides on “gun metal” 17-inch alloy wheels and the interior is decked out in black with black leather and a Piano black steering wheel.

The Mazda2 Black five-door is available in Spirited Green metallic, Crystal White Pearlescent and True Red. It gets a black vinyl roof, matte black 16-inch alloy wheels, front fog lights and a rear bumper sports trim.

Mazda is only going to produce 500 units of the MX-5 Sport Black and 618 examples of the Mazda2 Black.
