The 2012 Maserati GranTurismo MC is being labeled as the fastest Maserati ever in the U.S. and starts at $143,400, which includes the $1,700 gas guzzler tax and $1,800 destination charges.
The GranTurismo MC is powered by Maserati’s 4.7L V8 that puts out 444 horsepower and 376 lb-ft. of torque. The V8 is mated to a ZF six-speed automatic that puts the power to the ground via the rear wheels.
According to Maserati the GranTurismo MC will reach 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds and has a top speed of 185 mph. The GranTurismo MC also gets an aerodynamic package that increases downforce without any increases in drag.
The 2012 Maserati GranTurismo MC goes on sale in August.
