There have been rumors that Lincoln could bring the Zephyr name back and those rumors got even stronger when Lincoln unveiled the Zephyr Reflection concept a few months ago. Lincoln hasn’t made any official announcements, but it looks like it might happen, since Lincoln recently trademarked the name.

Zephyr Reflection concept

CarBuzz has discovered that the Lincoln Zephyr name was recently trademarked by Ford in Europe with the European Union Intellectual Property Office. The trademark say that it will be used for “motor land vehicles and parts and fittings therefor”.

We’ll have to see if the trademark means that Lincoln is going to build a production version of the Zephyr Reflection concept. Originally Lincoln said that the concept was designed for the Chinese market, but the trademark might also mean that it will be sold in other markets as well. Lincoln no longer sells a sedan in the US, so it’s not known if the new Zephyr will be sold here.
