Here in North America, Lincoln now only sells crossovers and SUVs, but in China sedans are still in demand. Lincoln has unveiled the new Lincoln Zephyr at Auto Guangzhou, which is its first locally-produced sedan.

Lincoln says that the new Zephyr “highlights the future direction of Lincoln’s design and intelligent technology.” It features the brand’s Quiet Flight DNA, which focuses on the tenets of Beauty, Gliding, Human and Sanctuary. The new Zephyr takes the brand’s horizontal design direction in a new direction with its full width light bar and horizontal stripes at the front. At the rear the full-width light bar echoes the design of the front.

Inside the Zephyr looks futuristic with its 12.3-inch digital cluster and 27-inch touchscreen with its customizable displays. The infotainment system runs the phase-4 SYNC+ system, which is currently only offered in China.

Under the hood the Zephyr is powered by a 2.0-liter that’s mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Zephyr is scheduled to go on sale in China in the first quarter of 2022.
