Lincoln wants to ramp up its presence in China and to do so, Lincoln is planning on building at least five new vehicles in China by 2022. Ford has already confirmed plans to start building a new SUV in China next year, which is likely the new Lincoln Aviator.

According to sources, Ford will begin building the production version of the Lincoln Aviator concept in China in 2019 or early 2020. It will then be followed by the replacements for the MKC and MKZ models. By 2021 the Nautilus will begin being produced in China. The fifth model we have yet to see, since sources claim that its a small coupe-like crossover, which will enter production by 2022.

“Our localization plans to support the China market are on track and will serve to further drive Lincoln’s growth in China,” Lincoln spokeswoman Angie Kozleski told Automotive News.
