It looks like Lexus might be getting ready to introduce a new entry-level version of the ES midsize sedan. Lexus recently trademarked the ES 250 name in the US, which hints at a new four-cylinder powered ES.

According to Kaizen Factor, Lexus trademarked the ES 250 name on July 18, 2019. If the ES 250 is in fact coming to the US, it will likely be powered by the same 2.5L four-cylinder engine that powers the Toyota Camry and RAV4. It will also mark the first time that the ES has been offered in the US with a non-hybrid four-cylinder powertrain.

Lexus has yet to make any announcements about an ES 250 joining the lineup, so we’ll have to wait and see.
