Lexus has yet to officially confirm a production date for its new coupe that will be based on the LF-LC concept, but several rumors have it pegged for an introduction in 2017 with the SC badge. We’re now getting reports about what will power the SC, which could include a 600 horsepower V8.
The coupe is expected to arrive with a choice of either a 475 horsepower 5.0L V8, which is based on the RC F’s engine and a hybrid 3.5L V6 that will generate around 500 horsepower. Motor Trend is now reporting that an SC F version is in the works with a twin-turbocharged version of the 5.0L V8 that could generate up to 600 horsepower.

The latest update means that there will be three versions of the SC, the naturally-aspirated V8 SC, the hybrid SC H and the turbocharged SC F.

Sadly we will most likely have to wait until around 2016 to get all the official details.
