The Lexus CT 200h hybrid hatchback is no longer available in the US, but Lexus has confirmed that it’s working on a new entry-level model to replace it.
Lexus’ European boss Pascal Ruch confirmed that Lexus plans to release a new model that will slot in below the new UX crossover in its lineup to Autocar. The new entry-level model is expected to arrive around 2021 and will likely be based on Toyota’s TNGA platform.
It’s not known yet if the new entry-level Lexus will be a hatchback like the CT 200h or if it will be a small crossover. It will likely be offered with a hybrid powertrain and there’s a possibility that a fully electric version could also be in the works.
