Kia recently unveiled the 2023 Sportage, but today at the Los Angeles Auto Show, Kia revealed the new Sportage Hybrid. The Sportage Hybrid is the third new model in Kia’s new global EV strategy, which follows the EV6 and Sorento PHEV.

The Sportage Hybrid is powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, a 44-kilowatt electric motor and a six-speed automatic, that generate a combined 226 horsepower that can be sent to the front or all four wheels. Kia says that it is targeting 39 mpg for the front-wheel drive version and more than 500 miles of driving range.

“The new Sportage Hybrid SUV marks yet another step in Kia’s advance on sustainable mobility, as part of our global ‘Plan S’ efforts,” said Sean Yoon, president and CEO, Kia America, Kia North America.

The Sportage Hybrid will be available in three trim levels: LX, EX and SX-Prestige.

Inside there’s an available dual panoramic curved display that connects two 12.3-inch screens for a total of almost 25-inches. It comes standard with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while a Harmon-Kardon audio system and 360-degree Surround-View monitor are available.
