Kia is ready to show the world its new design language and here’s our first look at the “Opposites United” design philosophy with the debut of the 2022 EV6. The EV6 is Kia’s first dedicated electric vehicle, which is based on the Hyundai Motor Group’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP).
Kia says that the new design language is based on five key design pillars: ‘Bold for Nature’, ‘Joy for Reason’, ‘Power to Progress’, ‘Technology for Life’, and ‘Tension for Serenity’.
What we see here is a bold new direction for the brand and at the front the EV6 gets what Kia calls a Digital Tiger Face which is a new electrified take on the Tiger Nose grille. Kia also says that the EV6 was designed to for “ultimate aerodynamic performance.”
Inside the interior features a a seamless high-tech curved high-definition audio visual and navigation (AVN) screen to help give the interior a more open feel. The seats are also wrapped in fabrics made from recycled plastics.
