Two years ago Kia unveiled the Telluride SUV concept at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show, but since then we haven’t heard anything about a production version. A new report now claims that the large Telluride SUV concept has received the green light and will be positioned above the Sorento in Kia’s SUV lineup.
Kia hasn’t made any official announcements, but Kia Motors president and chief design officer Peter Schreyer confirmed to Australian journalists this week’s Detroit Auto Show that it is developing a production version of the Telluride, “Yeah, we are working on that car, actually.”
It’s not known when the production version of the Telluride concept will enter production and if it will even keep the same name.
