Kia recently announced that the production version of the three-row EV9 electric SUV will launch in Europe in 2023 and now it’s confirmed that it will arrive in the US in the second half of 2023.
[ngg src=”galleries” ids=”147″ display=”pro_horizontal_filmstrip”]The Kia EV9 concept debuted at the Los Angeles Auto Show last fall, which is a preview of the production version. The EV9 will be based on the same E-GMP platform as the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, and Genesis GV60. This means that it will also feature 800-volt architecture which will allow for DC fast charging up to 350 kW.
Kia stated that the EV9 concept can be charged from 10% to 80% in about 20-30 minutes, with a driving range up to 300 miles. It’s expected that the production version will retain many of the styling features from the concept.
