Kia recently announced that the production version of the three-row EV9 electric SUV will launch in Europe in 2023 and now it’s confirmed that it will arrive in the US in the second half of 2023.
The Kia EV9 concept debuted at the Los Angeles Auto Show last fall, which is a preview of the production version. The EV9 will be based on the same E-GMP platform as the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, and Genesis GV60. This means that it will also feature 800-volt architecture which will allow for DC fast charging up to 350 kW.
Kia stated that the EV9 concept can be charged from 10% to 80% in about 20-30 minutes, with a driving range up to 300 miles. It’s expected that the production version will retain many of the styling features from the concept.
